Campus Policies and Procedures

Arrival and Dismissal Times

7:00 a.m.: The school building opens. Please do not drop off your child before the building opens.
7:05 a.m.-7:25 a.m.: Breakfast is served free of charge to all students, every day.
7:25 a.m.: School begins. Any student arriving on campus after 7:50 a.m. is tardy.
3:15 p.m.: Dismissal begins

Dismissal Procedures

The scheduled dismissal time for Harris Elementary School is 3:00. If your child’s method of transportation will be changed, please send a note to your child’s teacher. If you forget to send a note please call the office by 2:30 p.m.

Without a written note or oral communication to the front office, changes will not be made to the child’s method of transportation.

Building Security

Parents are always welcome at Harris Elementary. In order to ensure the safety of our students, it is imperative that all visitors to our school stop in the office upon arrival, sign in for your visitor’s pass.
***You are required to present a drivers license to prove valid identification.

Parent/Teacher Conference

Parents wishing to have a conference with their child’s teacher must make an appointment with the school secretary. This conference time will be during the teacher’s conference period. The conference should be scheduled at least one day in advance.
